Boleskine House se ha incendiado. Aleister Crowley y Jimmy Page entre sus dueños

La mítica Boleskine House parece haber llegado a su fin.

A mediodía del 23 de diciembre se reportó incendio en la propiedad. Gran parte de la otrora propiedad de Aleister Crowley, y posterior Jimmy Page, ha sido destruida.

Los actuales dueños de la propiedad declaran que será difícil recuperar lo perdido:

“When we bought it, it was a hovel, just a shell." "We spent a lot of money, stripping it back to the bare walls and re-roofing it. It had four bedrooms, four bathrooms, a huge drawing room, dining room, library and various smaller rooms. It is unlikely it will ever be rebuilt unless there is someone out there with an interest in the occult wanting to spend a lot of money.”

Crowley compró la propiedad en 1899 al considerarla el lugar ideal para llevar a cabo el: “Sacred Magic of Abramelin the Mage” del Grimoire The Book of Abramelin. Crowley decía que la construcción reunía lo necesario para llevar a cabo el rito...

...the spirits he summoned got out of hand, causing one housemaid to leave, and a workman to go mad. He also insinuates he was indirectly responsible for a local butcher accidentally severing an artery and bleeding to death. Crowley had written the names of some demons on a bill from the butcher’s shop.

Fascinado con toda la parafernalia ocultista. Page tuvo a bien adquirir la propiedad y fue dueña de ella hasta 1992. Los rumores asociados al triunvirato Crowley-Page-Boleskine sentaron sus reales en varias de las páginas de la historia de Zeppelin.
